I loved the way Richard & Leila approached their wedding day - with a focus on total simplicity, their guests and marrying their best friend. This was evident from the first time I met the couple - they new what was important.

They chose to spend the day at Reflections Guest Farm in Tulbagh which provided the most breathtaking vista of the Tulbagh mountains and Reflections dam. It was a relaxed morning - well for the most part, until the guys ventured out onto the dam. Luckily, being the responsible gents they are, there were no mishaps.

Now, Leila's wedding dress definitely needs a special mention. This perfectly tailored, delicately detailed and finely flowing gown was hand made by her mother - I was blown away! It suited Leila beautifully.

After a beautiful ceremony in the farm chapel, guests enjoyed a perfectly lazy afternoon with canapés and games on the lawn. Later that evening, when the sun was just right, the new Mr & Mrs Bolland and I took a trip around the farm where the photo opportunities were just endless. These two were such fun to photograph!

Dinner was a DIY lunch box which we assembled while sheltering from the evening wind. What followed was four of the most heartfelt, honouring and touching speeches I've heard. The night ended with delicious ice cream from The Creamery and dancing like you've never experienced before. I was told (or warned?) earlier in the day and even weeks before their wedding that the dancing will definitely be a highlight, seems there were some legends in our midst. I was not disappointed! It wasn't long before guests started warming up and shedding layers on the dance floor.

Richard & Leila, thank you for an unforgettable day!
