Martin & Jessica's love story has an unlikely though super romantic beginning - Jess had only been in Sydney for 3 months when they were set up on a blind date by some friends! They fell in love and started dating almost instantly (it's starting to sound a bit like the perfect romance movie, right!) For anyone who has ever been on a blind date, you'll know how rare this is.
The couple chose Haute Cabrière in Franschhoek for their wedding venue because it was the first vineyard they visited together years ago and they were completely blown away by the majestic views over the Franschhoek valley. What a location to welcome friends and family from around the world! This was truly an international celebration - guests travelled from all over South Africa as well as from the UK, the States and of course Australia.
The ceremony was intimate and incorporated some unique aspects and traditions from many different cultures. The bride and groom's families were all involved and played a role as they were united as husband and wife. It was a spectacular sunset as Marty and his South African princess (Jess's gown was the ULTIMATE princess dress, by the way!) spent the afternoon enjoying a drink with their guests.
The caved restaurant at Haute Cabriere added to the cozy and romantic atmosphere of the day. After all the speeches, the new Mrs Holland got up and surprised everyone with the sweetest song to her new husband - it was a beautiful moment and I think there were more than a few glistening eyes!
What a special day to have been apart of! Thank you Jess & Marty!
