No two weddings are ever the same - every wedding has it's unique quirks and details as the personalities of the bride and groom show through. It's always amazing to see how a couple express themselves through the different parts of their wedding day.
Here we have a very brave groom and a very trusting bride: they agreed that the first time Monique would see her wedding ring was on their wedding day when Kobus promises himself to her and slips it on her finger. And you can see by her expression of absolute joy in the photos that this is a man who knows exactly what his girl wants!
Kobus & Monique's big day felt a bit like a glamorous garden party - family and friends were mingling on the lawn in the sun, drinks in hand and the rugby on in the background (you can't keep a true supporter from watching the game!) It was such a relaxing afternoon as the hot summer sun set over the Stellenbosch mountains.
And then there was the upside-down wedding cake... At first I thought I heard wrong. But as the cake came out I saw it was exactly what it sounds like - an upside down wedding cake. It took some engineering and a few expert hands to hang it from a beam to be cut. This was definitely a first for me!
