Kenny & Barbra’s love story started out in the best way possible – as two best friends who just loved spending time in each other’s company. Despite their very different career paths, their love grew and after dating for 7 years Kenny popped the question. The engagement ring, which was designed by Kenny and kept a big secret for over a year, traveled all the way to Addo National Park with the spare tyre before being presented to the soon-to-be Mrs Toplis.

The couple tied the knot at the beautifully rustic venue 401 Rozendal in Stellenbosch one warm summers afternoon. It was a perfect day – as it’s bound to be when you’re surrounded by so many of your loved ones at the same time. The afternoon was spent lounging around outside on the lawns, enjoying the live music, games and canapés while the sun set.

After a delicious dinner and beautiful speeches, Barbra & Kenny were each given a Barbie & Ken (apparently not a new joke amongst family & friends!) and played their own variation of the classic ‘shoe game’. Wedding reception games are always such a win! The jokes didn’t end there – evidently it took Kenny a few tries to find the garter! You’ll see what I mean… The rest of the night was spent dancing and enjoying a delicious dessert table.
