You might recognise these two from their urban engagement shoot in the city a few months ago. Already then I could see I was in for some big time fun and romance! Donald & Mia’s wedding was one of those occasions that left me all heart-eyed throughout the day. From seeing the gents clean up nicely in bow ties and the girls in elegant maroon gowns to the classy and vibrant decor and flowers. Even the wind caught the sense of anticipation that was building inside, with the flurry of excitement in the last few moments before Mia would be meeting her groom at the end of the aisle…
I don’t think anyone would disagree with me if I said that Donald didn’t merely tear up when he first saw Mia approaching - he WEPT. In fact the tears started even before he could see his bride. These were tears of joy, disbelief, awe and gratitude. Just as it should be when you’re about to marry the woman of your dreams.
Donald & Mia became the new Mr & Mrs Fischer with the Durbanville vineyards in the background of the beautiful Eureka Estate. After the ceremony and after the couple was showered with confetti and congratulations, the celebrations kicked off. And what’s a wedding these days without a gin bar! While the newlyweds were out getting cosy in the wind, guests enjoyed a glass of something beautifully colourful and refreshing as the sun slowly set.
Soon Donald & Mia made their grand entrance to raucous cheers and applause. I love listening to speeches where it’s so evident that the couple not only love each other, but they admire and respect one another too. This was so true of these two. It wasn’t long before the party got started and kept on going late into the night!
Baie geluk liewe Mia & Donald!
