Oh man what a treat this one was! Over and over again I get blown away by the beauty of love and friendship between couples. I got to spend some time with these two and their family before their wedding day and it was stunning to see how everyone pulled together to make Brendan & Claudia's big day special and unforgettable.
The girls were so sweet! Eating doughnuts and dancing to Taylor Swift (of course) in their matching gowns as they were getting ready that morning.
The whole day was focused on what was most important to the couple - spending maximum time connecting with friends and family. They did a sneaky first look moment before the ceremony. They were both giddy with excitement and anticipation as Claudia came up behind Brendan and slowly took his hand before he turned around... and he literally couldn't take his eyes off her! I've never seen a groom so totally captivated by his bride, enthralled by every detail from her hair to her make up to her dress.
The little strawberry shortcake ring on Claudia's pinkie was the first ring Brendan ever gave her - another sentimental detail to finish her look off perfectly ;) Another thing about this good looking pair, they are super stylish and they compliment each other beautifully. I loved their rose gold details; her hair piece (a gift from Claudia's sister), his watch (a gift from Claudia) and both their rings.
It was a sweltering hot summers day in Jozi so we kept to the shade for photos until it was time for the ceremony. The reception was held in the mother of the bride's home - one of many factors that made this such a personal and intimate occasion. Mr & Mrs Raymond arrived soon after their guests and kicked off the afternoon with their first dance. The rest of the evening was spent eating (deliciously informal DIY stir fry), drinking, speeches, chatting, amazing coffee and dancing.
Thank you for a wonderful trip to Joburg!
