Another breathtaking summer wedding in Stellenbosch!

It was such an emotionally charged day! I blame Arnold for starting the water works while the girls were still getting ready that morning. Make up and hair all done - the four girls all sat on the bed and Lauren gave her bridesmaids each a gift. Then she received a gift and letter from the groom and within 5 minutes she couldn't read through her tears anymore and her sister had to take over. Soon all the girls were bawling and dabbing (not wiping) away tears of joy.

There were more tears as Lauren walked down the aisle toward her husband to be with her dad - Arnold was definitely more than just 'tearing up'. Arnold & Lauren said their 'I do's' at the foot of the Helderberg mountain under clear blue skies, surrounded by close family and friends.

These two radiate such joy and fun and genuine love and care for one another. Their couple shoot was full of laughter and silliness.

Lauren's dress deserves a special mention - it was lovingly made by her mother, each flower and bead hand stitched - a real labour of love! And the bride, being a chef, of course made her own wedding cake!

They also had one of the most unique dad and daughter dances I've ever seen - but I'm told this is more or less normal in this family. From what I could gather from the speeches and spending the day with the couple - it seems they were totally made for each other. Mr & Mrs Vermeulen, I wish you every happiness in your married life together!

Thank you JH Bartlett for second shooting and capturing the guys getting ready.
